9th Annual River House Winefest
$50 + tax per person includes a River House Winefest wine glass, tastings from all the
Wineries, lots of music, and, of course, River House food.

The highlight of the festival will be wine samplings from nine North Carolina Wineries: Biltmore, Brushy Mountain,, Grassy Creek, Hanover Park, McRitchie, Rag Apple Lassie, RayLen, Round Peak.
The musical lineup features: Tim and Debbie Yates of Acoustic Heritage (bluegrass); Clay Lundsford Jazz Band; Martha Bassett Band (sultry southern swing); The Ardmores (soft rock and blues).
The artisans who will be on site to display their work include: Goat Cheese by Daddy’s Girl Dairy; glassblowing by Shannon Boyd; Wood Crafts by Walnut Hill; Glass expressions by Sleepin’ Dog; Mountain Flower Lamps and Shades by Jane M and Michael Floyd and other fine artisans
The National Committee for the New River, , the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce and the Ashe County Humane Society will be present with information about their programs, environmental education and membership drives.
Hosting the event is River House owner Gayle Winston, whose Ashe County roots date back ten generations.
Festival entry is $50 per person, and includes a commemorative wine tasting glass, samplings from the wineries, food creations from River House, a day of music, and access to the artists’ booths.
