Carole Bowman Green
Carole Green, a native of Wilmington, NC, has performed as a singer with the Cambridge Society of Early Music, the Tanglewood Festival Chorus (Boston), and various folk and bluegrass music groups in New England and North Carolina. She plays guitar, keyboard, Classical and Celtic Harp and is a co-founder of the Coastal Carolina Harp Circle in Wilmington. Prior to moving to Alleghany County in 2018 with her husband, Bill, Carole completed training as a Certified Music Practitioner and worked for a number of years as a bedside therapeutic harpist for the Therapeutic Music Program of The Davis Community (a skilled nursing community in Wilmington) and for patients of the three residential Care Centers of Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She also provided therapeutic harp in privately contracted sessions for patients, families and medical staff of several regional hospitals, cancer clinics and healthcare settings in eastern North Carolina.
In this new chapter of their lives, Bill (keyboard and guitar) and Carole (primarily Celtic/folk harp) enjoy offering music for churches, retreats, dinner parties, weddings and other special events and hope to find more time for music as they also balance the many joys and challenges of living on their farm in Piney Creek.
